In the mid 90’s, Bill, Brian and Dana began working events as the Zamboni Brothers DJ’s. They have played music for, entertained and MC’d all types of events to include; wedding ceremonies and receptions, corporate events, charitable galas, school functions and holiday/ birthday parties. They changed their name to Z Brothers DJ’s a few years back and added a fourth member Travis, with a great deal of prior experience of his own, to their roster limited to just the four of them.
Bill, Brian, Dana and Travis have performed in practically every venue in Charlotte over the years as well as traveling throughout the Carolinas and beyond on occasion. The Zamboni Brothers/ Z Brothers handled crowd warming and entertainment duties for Fox Charlotte American Idol Auditions for several years. They have also been the exclusive provider of sound and acted as voice for Belk Presents-The Bridal Showcase for the Winter and Summer shows for over 10 years now. Many Z Brothers brides have been profiled and or featured in Carolina Bride and Unveiled Magazines proving their ability to handle high profile clients with ease and professionalism. This also holds true for the many corporate clients they continue to serve year after year.
Bill, Brian, Dana and Travis pride themselves on listening to what each client wants individually and specifically and then tailoring those wishes into a unique and memorable experience not to be forgotten. Many of the professionals in the wedding industry locally have called on them to handle music and MC duties for THEIR wedding day. Weddings are very special with one chance to create moments to last a lifetime. Our focus is to help facilitate the vision you have for your big day. Our job is to create an environment that is festive and fun with the attention focused on the Bride & Groom, their family and friends. We are not comedians and we do not try to steal the spotlight.
We will schedule a pre booking meeting, if desired, to get to know us and our style. After booking the Z Brothers DJs for an event, we will send you a “starter song list” to help your selection of music and have your DJ contact you to schedule a Planning Meeting. This meeting will enable us to get to know you & your vision for your reception or special event. We will fill out a planning sheet with you so that we are totally prepared. We know that no two events are alike & we will customize our approach to each event according to your tastes. We will act as an MC to help keep a natural flow to your event managing the expectations of your guests. We coordinate with your other vendors so that we are all on the same page. We don’t want you to worry about anything. We want your only job to be – Have an Amazing Evening of Fun!

Music sets the tone of any event and the right musical selection can make the difference in an average event becoming an outstanding event. Our digital music library contains over 50,000 titles representing all types of music from the big band era to the top hits of today & from all genres. We specialize in wedding receptions, which typically requires the widest variety of music.
Since every event & crowd is different, we spend time helping you create the right play list for your group. We will provide you with a “starter song list” (about 1,000 songs – some from each genre and decade). We will help you as much as you want in the selection process.
