Where & When Did Z Brothers DJs Get Started?

Bill, Brian and Dana each got their start with Zamboni Brothers DJs, owned and operated by their good friend Domenic Polzella. Domenic & his brother Dave started to make a name for themselves as mobile DJs in the Charlotte area starting in 1991 playing all types of events around town in all the popular venues. In the mid 1990’s Bill, Brian and Dana became Zamboni Brothers. By the year 2001, if you attended or heard of an event by the Zamboni Brothers DJs, it was Bill, Brian or Dana that was playing at that event. Domenic had built an event hall, Asbury Park Grove, off Harris Blvd in north Charlotte. He eventually added a chef & catering service to his already successful and busy schedule. He then asked Brian to take over the booking duties of the DJs. The DJs were then spun off and the Z Brothers DJ Service was born. Shortly thereafter, we were proud to add the experience of DJ Carlos Benanti to the roster and now have four equally experienced DJs ready to make your special event one to remember. Domenic continues to use Bill, Brian, Dana and Carlos as the preferred DJs at his event hall, Asbury Park Grove.

We Will Customize Our Presentation To Meet Your Specific Needs & Expectations

Weddings are very special with one chance to create moments to last a lifetime. Our focus is to help facilitate the vision you have for your big day. Our job is to create an environment that is festive and fun with the attention focused on the Bride & Groom, their family and friends. We are not comedians and we do not try to steal the spotlight.

We will schedule a pre booking meeting, if desired, to get to know us and our style. After booking the Z Brothers DJs for an event, we will send you a “starter song list” to help your selection of music and have your DJ contact you to schedule a Planning Meeting. This meeting will enable us to get to know you & your vision for your reception or special event. We will fill out a planning sheet with you so that we are totally prepared. We know that no two events are alike & we will customize our approach to each event according to your tastes. We will act as an MC to help keep a natural flow to your event managing the expectations of your guests. We coordinate with your other vendors so that we are all on the same page. We don’t want you to worry about anything. We want your only job to be – Have an Amazing Evening of Fun!

Music Sets The Tone Of Your Event

Music sets the tone of any event and the right musical selection can make the difference in an average event becoming an outstanding event. Our digital music library contains over 30,000 titles representing all types of music from the big band era to the top hits of today & from all genres. We specialize in wedding receptions, which typically requires the widest variety of music.

Since every event & crowd is different, we spend time helping you create the right play list for your group. We will provide you with a “starter song list” (about 1,000 songs – some from each genre and decade). We will help you as much as you want in the selection process.

We won’t bore you with the technical aspects and list every piece of equipment we carry, but with brand names like: Crown, JBL, Mackie, NuMark, Peavey, Shure, Sony and more it lets you know that we are serious about our craft and arrive prepared each and every time.
